our story
Amavi Retreats was born from a deep desire and passion to provide people a holistic platform, in the form of retreats, for supporting their mental, spiritual and physical well-being.
Amavi Retreats is founded and hosted by Shekher Aryaa, a SOMA Breathwork Coach, along with a team of certified practitioners.
Through the various modalities offered at Amavi Retreats such as Yoga, Sound Healing, Qi Gong, Breathwork, Meditations & Ice baths the guests get healed in Body, Mind and Spirit. They leave with feelings of Love, Gratitude, Abundance and Peace.
Amavi Retreats are truly a “Homecoming for Heart Healing.”

Shekher Arya
FOUNDER
Though Shekher is a Gemmologist by profession and has a Finance background, he knew that his mission was to take people on a journey of self-discovery and self- reflection whereby they could awaken to their true nature and align with their higher purpose.
Shekher has always believed that “Your Breath is Your Life”. This conviction led him to Thailand where he became certified as a SOMA Breathwork Instructor. He now facilitates this modality at his retreats as well as in many studios across Australia.
At Amavi Retreats, Shekher aims to provide his guests a safe and non-judgemental environment where they can release their negative emotions and let go of their fears and anxieties. By inculcating positive thoughts, they feel empowered with higher self-confidence and greater self-worth.

Helen Cole
YOGA TEACHER
Through her own healing, Yoga Teacher Helen is deeply inspired by both the physical benefits of a regular yoga practice as well as the spiritual and emotional discovery that pranayama, asana and meditation delivers.
Helen first found yoga in her twenties and started her yoga teaching journey in Kerala, India. Over the last 10 years, Helen had continued her study of the practice in Australia with specialities in children’s yoga, meditation, yin and restorative yoga.
Helen is a RCYT and ERYT-500 (accredited children’s yoga teacher and teacher trainer facilitator).
Her style of teaching has evolved over time, however her aspiration to help others to balance the body and mind through yoga, meditation and relaxation remains the same. She continues to be inspired by this lifestyle that supports and guides us through life’s challenges by bringing us back to what we already know – that which is at the centre of our hearts.
